Dems in Blue; GOP in Red

Over the last three or four elections, these colors changed.

For years, I recall the states supporting the Rep. candidate being shown on the news in blue and the states supporting the Dem. candidate in red.

(Read in your best 'curmedgeony old man' voice) That's how it was when NBC made the first map for election coverage in 1976.

Maybe it was 1992. Or 1996. Or 2000. Anyway, at the risk of sounding like Andy Rooney... I liked it better the other way.
