What a wussy campaign.
THE hot shop for the last eight years or so, Crispin, Porter + Bogursky, was assigned to reverse the thinking the Apple ads have smashed into the computer market over the last couple of years.
While the locations and casting are well done (and there IS some good writing), the overall concept is so... so... "me, too." Here, using part of the Mac catch phrase, falls far flat of a rallying cry. I just can't get behind it.
For my money, "The computer is personal again," from HP seems to work better. I can't help thinking about the ad below, too - also from HP... ENDLESSLY entertaining and fun to watch. And, you're bedazzled by the effects.
