OK. So, I've jumped on the SU bandwagon.
I'm still in the early stages of "Stumbling" but I'm already getting that itchy feeling that it might be too "MySpace-y."
One of the drawbacks of MySpace (other than it being way too overhyped) is that its usability sucks. Annoyingly huge animated images ad nauseum, music starts playing over your own, each entry has its own border, etc. etc...
SU's SUD is better - but slightly. I like how one can see whose looked at your page, and there is a page to track what you've "stumbled."
However, when you click on someone else's favorites, the video just starts rolling or you're whisked away to who-knows-where. I'd like to see thumbs of others' favorites so I can pick and choose what to view.
Just learned this: tagging can lead to mislabeling. I was on a photographer's site, writing a review, and I added the tag "photo." SU then added it to my "Favorite Photos." Technically, not accurate, but I suppose people will find it. It does appear in my reviews as a straight web site.
I didn't like the fact that I had to download a tool bar, but... what the heck. It does make it easier. Oh, and there's no way to change your password - which THEY assign you.
We'll see how it does for promotion in a few weeks.
